How to select a slurry pump

When purchasing slurry pumps, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the investment and operation costs of the pump unit and the pump station, as well as other comprehensive technical and economic indicators, to ensure that they comply with the principles of economy, safety and applicability. Specifically, there are several aspects to note when selecting a slurry pump:

The selection of slurry pumps mainly depends on flow rate and head. It is necessary to know the minimum and maximum flow rates required by the device equipment. When selecting a pump, the maximum flow rate should be taken as the basis. If the maximum flow rate is not provided, it is usually taken as 1.1 times the normal flow rate.

2. The head required by the device system should not only take into account the minimum suction liquid level and the maximum water delivery height, but also the layout of the pipeline system. When selecting a pump, it is generally advisable to take 1.05 to 1.1 times the system head.

After determining the two performance parameters of flow rate and head, the type of pump to be used should be determined based on the requirements of the device system. Generally, coal washing plants choose pumps of series such as ZZ type, ZNB type and ZLX type. In addition to its strong wear resistance, it also features high efficiency, good cavitation performance, smooth operation, long service life and high head at low speed.
